12曲30分ちょっとの中にカラフルなアイディアとグッドメロディーが詰まった良作。
Still Woozyのツアーサポートを終えて、5~6月から Footsteps, Dot to Dot, Cross The Tracksなどのフェス出演を含むUK/EUデビューツアーに出ます。
“We’re so excited to share 'Wayside' with the world—it’s one of those songs that came to life in a way we didn’t expect. We had a session in August, 2023 with Maxwell Byrne (1tbsp, Golden Vessel) and it was all about letting go of any pressure and allowing the music to unfold naturally. We went in not knowing exactly where things would go, but Max’s approach of staying open and creating without boundaries was a game-changer. He really helped shape the track, guiding us to stay true to the mood we wanted. It’s crazy to think that, at the time, we didn’t even realize how special 'Wayside' would become. I remember spinning through demos we’d made over the last few years and when I played ‘Wayside’ I sent it to the guys and said “Why isn’t this on the album?”. It’s moments like these, full of spontaneity and collaboration, that really make this album what it is. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it, along with the rest of the record—it’s been a journey of unexpected discoveries and we’re so proud of what we’ve created. Lyrically, 'Wayside' explores the complex idea of ‘ignorance is bliss’. It’s about realizing that, sometimes, it’s better to keep your distance from the negativity, to not let those words or situations weigh you down. There’s a certain power in choosing to stay in the present moment, focusing on yourself, and blocking out the toxic energies that can pull you back into old patterns. The song reflects the idea that not knowing certain things, or choosing not to engage with hurtful thoughts, can actually be a form of self-preservation. It’s a reminder that, in those moments when the world feels heavy, the healthiest choice might just be to turn away from the noise and keep walking forward—putting your energy into what truly matters.” - Callum MacDonald
