イングランド/ブリストル拠点のインディーバンド Cousin Kulaが、8/4にRhythm Section Internationalからリリースしたニューシングル 'BabyBack'を公開！
前回紹介した'McLovin' You'と、その後のEP『Casa Kula Cassette』が素晴らしく、Rhythm Sectionと契約したのも納得だしお似合いだね〜って思いました。
そして'BabyBack'。レーベル仕切りのBoiler Roomでチェック済みでしたが、以下のセッションが良くていつリリースするのか気になってた楽曲です。所属先がRhythm Sectionだとアルバムへの期待は当然として、リミックス作品の方もかなり楽しめそう。
“BabyBack is about the ups and downs of a long distance relationship, and how it can wear down until eventually fading into a world of abstraction where really your relationship is all through a phone and not physical, or as tangible as it once was. My favourite line is the first of the pre chorus ‘waiting around, for a change, floating, face down, in a lake of lost love’. This for me sums up the whole tune.” - Elliot Ellison
