カナダ/ビクトリア拠点のフォークロックアーティスト Christopher Atkinsが、2/23にDivine Bovineからリリースしたニューシングル 'Lonely Choir'のリリックビデオを公開！
4/26発売のニューアルバム『Another Year』収録曲で、共同制作は Alex Ward (Mother Sun)、ミックスは Emilio Pagnotta (Mother Sun)、マスタリングは David Parry (Loving)が担当。
いつものグッドメロディー、クラリネットとローズの響きが親密な雰囲気を醸し出すナイスなアレンジ。淡々と良い曲を出してるから気づかれにくいかもしれないけど、Andy Shaufと肩を並べても違和感のない優れたソングライターだと思います。
“I didn’t really set out with a thematic intention for Lonely Choir, but I think the song is sort of about the calm after becoming too tired to think. Lonely Choir was one of the first songs that I wrote where I felt like it was something that could be on the album, although. . . It wasn't until I made a demo, adding bass and drum parts, that I felt the song was going to work. It took a bit of a new form once we started tracking in the studio, we swapped harmonica for woodwinds, Alex added the Rhodes, which I think really helped the song to get to somewhere that feels natural.” - Christopher Atkins
