カナダ/トロント拠点のインディーロックアーティスト ARK IDENTITYが、10/24にDream Haze MusicからリリースしたEP『Deluxe Nightmare』よりタイトル曲のMVを公開！
ディレクターは Zak Mroueh。
ARK IDENTITYはシンガーソングライター・マルチインストゥルメンタリスト Noah Mrouehによるソロプロジェクト。
'Deluxe Nightmare'の共同作曲・プロデュースは Philippe Andre (Double Wish)。
サイケほど煙くない、ドリームポップ的な没入感をロックに落とし込むのが上手い人です。
“As a child, I had this recurring dream of flying monkeys breaking through the glass of my bedroom window,” “I wanted the title track to sound grungy and distorted and almost claustrophobic at times. I used fuzzy guitars, kept some of the rougher vocal takes, and leaned into repetition so it feels like you’re stuck in a loop or a bad dream that you can't wake up from.”
子どもの頃、猿が空を飛んで寝室の窓ガラスを突き破ってくるという夢を何度も見ていました。タイトル曲では、そんな夢のように、グランジで歪んだ、そして時に息苦しいようなサウンドにしたかったんです。ファジーなギターを使い、荒削りなボーカルテイクをあえて残し、繰り返しを多用して、抜け出せないループや悪夢の中にいるような感覚を表現しました。
