ニューヨーク/ブルックリン拠点のインディーロックデュオ Eventually Flowersが、7/22にDon't Label Me Recordsからリリースしたデビューシングル 'Nai'を公開！
Eventually Flowersは、Tender Glueとして活動する Tom Gluewickiと、Lavender Bonesで知られる Janise Lazarteによるコラボレーションプロジェクト。
2020年発表の'Small Place Conversations' というコラボ曲で制作を始め、今回からプロジェクトとして本格的に活動を始めたとのこと。
スタジオに持ち込んだ花のカラーの周波数振動を録音して楽曲に織り込んでおり、今後リリースされる楽曲ごとに異なる花をモチーフにしていくそうです。
レコーディング・ミックス・マスタリングは Aleksi Godard (Kali Uchis, Boyish)が担当。
“"Nai" was inspired by a brief connection that ended with two people seeing things very differently. It's about the stories we tell ourselves, the assumptions we make, and how easy it is for two people to walk away from the same experience with completely different perspectives. I wasn't interested in writing a song about blame or who's right or wrong. I wanted to approach it from a place of empathy, because I think we've all found ourselves trying to make sense of something in our own way.”
