“Selfish’ is a monologue about accepting the negative traits that have been pointed out to you your whole life and essentially becoming that villain you’ve been painted out to be, even though that’s not who you truly are deep down. It’s more of a release of pent up frustration rather than a confession, it’s taking the very words that broke you down and turning them into your superpower”
'Selfish'は、人生を通して指摘されてきたネガティブな特性を受け入れ、本来の自分とはかけ離れた、いわば悪役になってしまうことについてのモノローグです。これは告白というよりは、むしろ溜め込んだフラストレーションの解放であり、自分を打ちのめした言葉を、自分のスーパーパワーに変えることなのです。
