Saskia、'If I'm Alive'を公開

イングランド/ロンドン拠点のオルタナティヴポップアーティスト Saskiaが、4/22にBlack Butter Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'If I'm Alive'を公開！

Saskiaはデヴォン出身のシンガーソングライター・ジャズピアニスト。

2024年にデビューシングル 'Take It All Back'で注目を集め、翌年に ASTNとの共作でデビューEP『The Noise』を発表。

また、Bicep, Pollyfromthedirt, Bob Mackenzie (James Blake, Dave)とのスタジオセッションを行なってます。

“I think this song is a reflection of quick temperedness, impulsivity and saying something you don’t mean and being left with the fact of what can’t be undone. Your words can start a fight before you’ve even realised they’ve left your mouth. It’s sort of an acceptance that I am a flawed human being, and we all are. I’m not necessarily interested in writing about pretty things, I’m much more drawn to ugliness.”

この曲は、短気で衝動的で、本心ではないことを口にしてしまい、取り返しのつかない事実に直面する、そんな私の気持ちを反映したものです。言葉は、口から出たことに気づく前に、争いを引き起こしてしまうことがあります。これは、私が欠点のある人間であり、誰もがそうであるという事実を受け入れることでもあります。私は必ずしも美しいものについて書くことに興味があるわけではなく、むしろ醜いものに惹かれるのです。
