フィンランド/ヘルシンキ拠点のプロデューサー・アーティスト Aleksi Skippariによるソロプロジェクト Telephone Romeoが、3/20にSolitiからリリースしたニューシングル 'Ways Of The World'を公開！

6/5発売予定のデビューアルバム『Telephone Romeo』収録曲。

セルフプロデュースでミックスを務め、マスタリングは Pedro R MacLoughlinが担当。

Tame Impala, MGMT, The Strokesが好きな人にはかなり刺さりそうなサウンドで、美しいメロディと重心低めのリズム隊のバランスが好きです。

先月発表の収録曲 'Muscle Memory'も合わせてどうぞ。

“This song works as a personal reminder to myself and hopefully to others that the fight for a better tomorrow, be it in your personal life or the issues in the world at large, is not lost if you choose to act on kindness, love and empathy instead of anger, hate and apathy. I've had my own struggles with anger and hate towards myself, others and the world and I hit a breaking point last year which gave birth to this song. Telephone Romeo acts as this calming voice in the storm brewing inside my head. I had to change my perspective on things or it would swallow me whole from which there would be no turning back. I had to choose a better tomorrow or the whole future would be lost.”

この曲は、私自身への個人的なメッセージであり、願わくば他の人にも伝えたいメッセージです。より良い明日を目指す戦いは、たとえそれが私生活であれ、世界全体の問題であれ、怒りや憎しみ、無関心ではなく、優しさ、愛、共感に基づいて行動することを選べば、決して負けることはない、ということを。私自身、自分自身、他人、そして世界に対する怒りや憎しみに苦しんできました。昨年、限界に達したことが、この曲を生み出すきっかけとなりました。Telephone Romeoは、私の頭の中で渦巻く嵐の中で、私を落ち着かせてくれる声のような存在です。物事の見方を変えなければ、嵐に飲み込まれてしまい、後戻りはできなくなる。より良い明日を選ばなければ、未来そのものが失われてしまう。そうしなければならなかったのです。
