オーストラリア/メルボルン拠点のサイケデリックロックバンド Pretty Moiが、1/23にリリースしたニューシングル 'ROAD DOG'を公開！
Pretty Moiは Juan 'Panchi' Chiossoni, Ruben Vasconez, Riley Fletcher, Iliya Zakharov, Nick Michaels, Ran Mackayの6人組。
2022年にデビューシングル 'Sober'、2023年にデビューEP『VOL 1』を発表し、これまでに Vinted Vineer, Camino Goldなどと共演してます。
サーフとサイケを感じさせつつ、60'sには一切寄せず、モダンに鳴らしてるのがかっこいい。
“ROAD DOG started as a bunch of old ideas that finally clicked once we leaned into storytelling. It’s intentionally absurd and a bit delusional, inspired by an old Norm Macdonald joke.”
'ROAD DOG'は、昔からあるアイデアの積み重ねから始まりましたが、ストーリーテリングに傾倒することで、ようやく形になりました。意図的に不条理で少し妄想的なこの曲は、ノーム・マクドナルドの古いジョークにインスパイアされています。
