heavy wild、'Wasteland'を公開

イングランド/ロンドン拠点のLo-Fiロックバンド heavy wildが、3/26にリリースしたニューシングル 'Wasteland'を公開！

5/28発売のデビューEP『Death Dreams』収録曲。

heavy wildはソングライター Wolfgang Harteを中心に結成された4人組。

これまでに HighSchool, Swim Deep, Dog Race, Humane The Moon, blood clubのサポートを務め、5月にはアメリカでデビューライブを行う予定です。

2010年代初期の Wavvesが出てきた頃を彷彿とさせる質感が懐かしいニューカマー。

“Ultimately, it’s an optimistic track. It’s about going through dark times and finding a way to keep on going. I had a bassline that I was just playing on loop and I started writing, and this montage of stuff that had happened over the years was flooding my mind, and the energy of that bassline just kept dragging more stuff up. I guess it’s me sort of processing some of those situations and reflecting on it all. It’s about standing in the wreckage of life and saying fuck it… just gotta keep going.”

結局のところ、この曲は楽観的なものなんです。暗い時期を乗り越え、それでも前に進む方法を見つけることについて描いています。最初は、ただループさせていたベースラインがあって、それに合わせて書き始めたら、これまでの人生で起こった出来事の断片が頭の中にどんどん溢れてきました。そして、そのベースラインのエネルギーがさらにいろんな記憶を引き出していったんです。たぶん、これは自分なりにそういった出来事を整理し、振り返るプロセスだったのだと思います。人生の瓦礫の中に立ちながら、『もうどうにでもなれ…とにかく進むしかない』って思うような曲ですね。
