Camille Schmidt、'Stanley'のMVを公開

ニューヨーク/ブルックリン拠点のインディーロックアーティスト Camille Schmidtが、12/13にSix Castle Roadからリリースしたニューシングル 'Stanley'のMVを公開！

ディレクターは Henry Nelson。

1/10発売のニューアルバム『Nude #9』収録曲。

今年6月にデビューEP『Good Person』を発表したときはフォークロック主体でしたが、次のアルバムは表現の幅をみせる作品になってそうですね。

プロデュースは Ben Zaidiが務め、演奏に Eli Heath (Elihu Okay), Michael Haldeman (Mk.gee, altopalo), Sam Acchione (Alex G), Jacob Drab (Allegra Krieger)が参加。

“I started thinking about my plane ride the night before. This woman in front of me had been texting a friend about her boyfriend, Stanley (who I later discovered was a few rows behind us). I was thinking about the loneliness you feel when you're alone, but also the deeper loneliness when you’re with someone, and that person doesn’t fill the hole inside you the way you’d hoped. It was a time when I was searching for comfort in anything – overheard conversations, interactions with strangers, little jokes I would make to myself.”

前夜、飛行機に乗ったときのことを考え始めた。私の前の席の女性は、ボーイフレンドのStanley（後で私たちの数列後ろにいたことがわかった）のことを友達にメールしていた。一人でいるときに感じる寂しさについて考えていたんだけど、誰かと一緒にいるときに、その人が自分の中の穴を思ったように埋めてくれないときの、もっと深い寂しさについても考えていた。小耳に挟んだ会話、見知らぬ人とのやりとり、独り言のようなちょっとしたジョークなど、あらゆるものに安らぎを求めていた時期だった。
