イングランド/シェフィールド拠点のインディーロックバンド WHITEHORSESが、9/2にリリースしたニューシングル 'Red Riptide'のMVを公開！
制作は James Keith, Holly Pimlott。
WHITEHORSESは Thomas Haywood, Bobby Bouché, John McCullagh, Nathan Keeble, James Keithの5人組。
昨年解散したバンド The Blindersのフロントマン Thomas Haywoodの新バンド。
また、10年以上前に Alan McGee主宰レーベルから10代でデビューし、Jake Buggに続くかのように期待されていた John Lennon McCullaghも在籍してます。のちに Vultures, Children of the Stateなどでも活動してましたね、この人も良い曲書くんだよな。
“It’s as heavy as we go at the moment and to me describes desire in a tune and screams ‘fucking come on then’ to anything thrown your way. It was written when heavy rains burst the waters of a riverbank and the whole thing was just gushing all over the place and it set me off big time.”
今のところこれが僕たちの中で一番ヘビーな曲で、欲望をサウンドに込めていて、何が来ても“かかってこいよ”と叫んでいるように感じます。この曲を書いたのは、大雨で川の堤防が決壊して水が一気にあふれ出したときで、その光景がものすごく刺激になったんです。
