Vitesse X、'Careless ft. Jack Tatum (Wild Nothing)'のMVを公開

ニューヨーク拠点のプロデューサー Vitesse Xが、8/28にMusic Websiteからリリースしたニューシングル 'Careless feat. Jack Tatum (Wild Nothing)'のMVを公開！

制作は Chris Burden。

Wild Nothingの Jack Tatumが共同プロデュース・演奏に参加した楽曲で、10/4発売のニューアルバム『This Infinite』収録曲。

エレクトロニックな曲と、今回のようなドリームポップを並行させるスキルがとんでもない人。

“I call this song my “love letter to depression,” a place that feels so familiar to me, I could even call it home. It’s about those times being stuck in bed, feeling the weight of the world pulling you in, stuck in rumination. Sonically, I wanted to have it maintain this blissed out quality to it, especially when I say the words “so in abyss.” Like I’m here in the darkness and it’s the only place I’d want to be. Another self critique I guess you could say - like I could make the choice to sever this toxic relationship, but instead I decide to fall deeper into it.”

この曲は、私にとってとても馴染み深く、故郷と呼べる場所である「鬱へのラブレター」と呼んでいます。ベッドから出られず、世界の重みに引きずり込まれ、考え込んでしまうときのことを歌っています。音的には、この至福の雰囲気を保ちたいと思いました。特に“so in abyss.”という言葉を言うときはそうしたいです。まるで自分が暗闇の中にいて、そこだけが居たい場所のよう。これも自己批判と言えるでしょう。この有害な関係を断ち切るという選択もできたのに、その代わりにさらに深く落ち込むことを決めたような。
