ベルギー出身のオルタナティヴポップアーティスト Tsar Bが、9/15にリリースしたニューシングル 'Amor'のMVを公開！
ディレクターは Lennert Madou。
Tsar Bはコンポーザー・マルチインストゥルメンタリスト Justine Bourgeusによる名義。
2016年にデビューEP、2018年にデビューアルバム『The Games I Play』を発表し、Oscar and The Wolf, Alexander Chung, Nova Twinsとのコラボレーションを行なってます。
また、コンサート映画『Les Diners de Gala』の制作や、VIDEODROOM 2024の委嘱作品としてドラマ『ツイン・ピークス』の音楽演奏を務めたほか、個人としては映画・ダンス・ファッションといった分野の作曲も手掛けています。
前述のツイン・ピークスのやつ。「あんな神聖な作品に触れるわけにはいかない」と、最初は依頼を断ったというのも分かるし、結果は素晴らしい内容だったので合わせてどうぞ。
“'Amor' is loosely based on Italian composer Claudio Monteverdi’s arresting soprano solo Lamento della Ninfa (“The Nymph’s Lament”). I incorporated the vocal line into the chorus, but I came up with different lyrics. The nymph – the character I’m inhabiting in the song – sings about heartbreak. Not for my loved one, but for a world that broke my heart – for all that's happening in the world right now with all the genocides. It’s an outcry for love.”
