Toon Bosch、'I didn't know you'を公開

ドイツ/ベルリン拠点のオルタナティヴポップアーティスト Toon Boschが、2/12にリリースしたニューシングル 'I didn't know you'を公開！

Toon Boschはオランダ出身のコンポーザー・シンガーソングライター・プロデューサー。

2022年にベルリンへ移住し、翌年デビューアルバム『Until the Night Is Quiet』を発表。

'I didn't know you'は、バイオリンに Gelila Enbaye、鍵盤に Friedrich Petersが参加し、他の楽器演奏・共同プロデュースは Karl Coutelleが担当。

ミニマルな作り、実直で素朴な趣の歌声、コーラスのメロディと華やかな広がり。初めて聴いたときよりも、2回3回聴いたときの方が好きになる曲でした。

“'I didn’t know you’ is a melancholic and bittersweet song about what it means to get to know a loved one. Not just who they are, but also who they are not. Finding out what they mean to you and what you mean to them. It’s about getting to know yourself through them, and getting being confronted with eachothers self perception. And about the realization that getting to know them is process that never ends.”

'I didn't know you'は、大切な人を知るということの意味を描いた、物悲しくもほろ苦い楽曲です。その人がどんな存在なのかだけでなく、どんな存在ではないのかを知ることでもあります。相手が自分にとってどんな意味を持つのか、そして自分が相手にとってどんな存在なのかを見つめていくことです。相手を通して自分自身を知り、互いの自己認識と向き合うことでもあります。そして、相手を知るという過程は決して終わることのないものだという気づきについて歌っています。
