ニュージャージー州出身のフォークロックアーティスト Thin Learが、10/14にFirst City Artistsからリリースしたニューシングル 'My Old Friend'のリリックビデオを公開！
アニメーターは Paula Arranz。
Thin Learはシンガーソングライター Matt Longoによる名義。
2020年にデビューアルバム『Wooden Cave』を発表し、これまでに Jesse Malin, Greg Mendez, Charlie Parrらと共演してます。
'My Old Friend'のプロデュース・ミックス・演奏は Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Rhett Miller, Madi Diaz)が務め、マスタリングは D. James Goodwinが担当。
昨年のEP『A Beach of Nightly Glory』では Matthew E. Whiteをプロデューサーに迎えるなど、曲作りのみならず作品作りの人選も信頼出来る人物です。
アメリカーナっぽいような、バロックポップっぽいような。良い塩梅の折衷的な表現力とグッドメロディー。
“As I get older, I find the amount of support I devote to friends never feels like enough. I can point to the needs of my own family, or everyone generally going in different directions, but those are all just excuses. In my twenties, if someone was really going through it, we could come together and actively be present to offer something beyond occasional phone calls. Now, it's just whatever we can give, and this song reflects that harsh reality. We had someone who gradually sailed off into a dark place, and not enough of us were paying attention to what was going on before it got bad.”
