スコットランド/グラスゴー拠点のインディーポップバンド The Plastic Youthが、9/27にBe Here Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Wrong Crowd'を公開！
楽曲のプロデュースは Gerry Love (ex-Teenage Fanclub)。
来月は Neon Waltzのサポートを務めるニューカマーで、来年にはデビューアルバムを発表予定とのこと。
ジャングルポップの要素があったり、ラストのバッキングボーカルまできっちり楽しませてくれるアレンジだったりして魅力的な楽曲です。
“We wanted ‘Wrong Crowd’ to be immediate, energetic, and explode into listeners' ears, whilst still maintaining elements of subtle psychedelic past. We have created a well-balanced track of driving rhythms, synth lines, and a modern take on hypnotic 60s harmonies.”
'Wrong Crowd'は、繊細な過去のサイケデリックの要素を保ちつつも、即効性があり、エネルギッシュで、リスナーの耳に飛び込んでくるものにしたかった。ドライブ感のあるリズム、シンセ・ライン、そして催眠術のような60年代のハーモニーを現代風にアレンジした、バランスの取れたトラックに仕上がった。
