イングランド/ハートフォード出身のインディーロックアーティスト Ten Tonnesが、6/14にSilver Heat Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Drowning In The Deep End'のMVを公開！

Ten Tonnesはシンガーソングライター Ethan Barnettによる名義。10代から活動を始め、2019年にデビューアルバム『Ten Tonnes』を発表。また、人気アーティスト George Ezraの弟としても知られています。

'Drowning In The Deep End'は7/28発売のニューアルバム『Dancing, Alone』収録曲。ミックスは Jag Jago (The Maccabees, The Magic Gang, Matt Maltese)が務めてます。

“This song was a way of me processing a tough time in my life and lyrically I think it set a theme for the rest of the album of deeper honesty and transparency with myself. I didn't want it to feel too heavy musically though and it's written more from a place of looking back at a dark period as opposed to being in the centre of it. I've played it live a couple of times now and it's so much fun to play and I think that's ultimately a really satisfying full circle feeling of owning that time in my life and appreciating where I've got to since then.” - Ten Tonnes

この曲は、私の人生における困難な時期を処理する方法であり、歌詞は、自分自身に対するより深い正直さと透明性という、他のアルバムのテーマを設定したと思いいます。音楽的にはあまり重い感じにしたくなかったので、暗い時代の中心にいるのではなく、暗い時代を振り返るような気持ちで書きました。ライブで何度か演奏しましたが、とても楽しくて最終的には自分の人生の中でその時期を所有し、それ以降に辿り着いた場所に感謝するという、本当に満足のいくフルサークルの感覚だと思います。 - Ten Tonnes
