Tara Nome Doyle、'Bad Days'のMVを公開

ドイツ/ベルリン拠点のオルタナティヴフォークアーティスト Tara Nome Doyleが、4/11にFatCat Recordsからリリースしたニューアルバム『Ekko』より、'Bad Days'のMVを公開！

ディレクターは Mateusz Miszczyński。

共同プロデュースに Simon Goff (『ジョーカー』、『チェルノブイリ』)を迎えた作品。

ミニマルなアプローチで広大なスペースを生み出し、そこに歌声を落としていくような作風。そういうムードってあんまり長い時間あると次に聴く時に少し気が重くなるというか、再生ボタンを押すのによっこいしょ感が出がちですが、これはトータルで30分くらいの尺なので変に気負わず聴けるなって思いました。

“Bad Days” is a love song, written about the experience of being in a relationship in which both parties go through periodical bouts of poor mental health. Although it’s not possible to resolve the other person’s suffering, there is something so healing about simply being accepted and held in this fragile state. The realisation that “bad days never felt this good before” came to me on one of these dark days and I wanted to express my bittersweet appreciation of our shared suffering through this song.”

'Bad Days'はラブソングであり、どちらも周期的に心の不調を抱える関係について書かれています。相手の苦しみを完全に癒すことはできないけれど、その脆さごと受け入れ、寄り添ってもらえることには大きな癒しの力があります。ある暗い日、「こんなに悪い日がこんなにも心地よく感じるなんて」という気づきが生まれ、その苦しみさえも分かち合えることへのほろ苦い感謝を、この曲に込めました。
