テキサス州オースティン拠点のサイケデリック・インディーダンスバンド Starflakeが、12/2にEscondido Soundからリリースしたニューシングル 'Come Clean'のMVを公開！

Starflakeはシンガー・ベーシスト・プロデューサー Jackie O’Brienによるプロジェクト。
Jackie O’Brienは、2004年結成の地元を代表するサイケロックバンド The Bright Light Social Hourの中心人物でもあります。こちらは公式/非公式含めたあらゆるSXSW関連イベントに数え切れないほど出演し、Aerosmithの前座を務め、Dave Matthews Band, The Flaming Lipsなどと共演してます。
今回のシングルでは、演奏に Ben Nelson, Alex Holeman, Zac Catanzaro, Juan Alfredo Ríosが参加し、ミックスは Alex Holeman、マスタリングは Curtis Roushが担当。
エレクトロファンク、ラテンポップ、クンビアなどを意欲的に取り込む自由さが魅力的。今はおそらくダンスパンクの枠に集約された"mutant disco"を隠し味的に使ってるのもいいね。
