カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス出身のインディーロックバンド Rec Hallが、7/28にリリースしたニューシングル 'Pontiac'のMVを公開！
ディレクターは Jason Yamamoto。
Rec Hallは John Barry, Lance Meliota, Ben Tyrrellの3人組。サウスベイ生まれのJohnとLanceは4歳から、Benは高校からの友達。
2021年に発表したデビュー曲 'She Doesn’t Get It'が合計2,500万回を超えるストリーミングを記録した期待の若手です。
過去20年間、The Strokes, Phoenixフォロワーはいつも一定数いた気がしますが、それにしてもここ数年で耳にする機会が増えたような。どれもかっこいいし、彼らもまだ2枚目(!?)なので今後の動向が気になります。
“Pontiac is about reconnecting with old friends. While we stayed in our hometown to work on music, many of our friends moved away and started lives elsewhere. When seeing them again there’s always the question of how much has changed or stayed the same between us.”
'Pontiac'は旧友との再会をテーマにしている。私たちが地元に残って音楽活動をしている間、友人の多くは引っ越して別の場所で生活を始めた。彼らと再会するとき、私たちの間にどれだけの変化があったのか、あるいは変わらなかったのかという疑問が常につきまとうんだ。
