ブルックリン拠点のインディーバンド Public Practiceが、10/26にWharf CatからリリースするデビューEP『Distance Is a Mirror』より、'Fate/Glory'を公開！
Public Practiceは Sam York, Vince McClelland, Drew Citron, Scott Rosenthalの4人組。Beverly, WALLのメンバーによる、鋭い音でロックしてディスコパンクする新バンド。
4月発売のコンピAL『ACLU Benefit Compilation』にボーナス・トラックとして収録されていた'Foundation (Demo)'を聴いたときから楽しみにしてたデビュー作品で、セルフレコーディング・セルフプロデュース。マスタリングは Carl Saffが手がけてます。
いつもユニークなレーベルの紹介文が今回はよりナイスでした。
With contradicting references as overt as Talking Heads (without the shoulders), but as specific as Haruomi Hosono of Yellow Magic Orchestra (with some polka dots), the band is carrying a funky torch that does not get lit too often.
