フォークバンド Preen、'Song About A Car'を公開

イングランド/ロンドン拠点のインディーバンド Preenが、5/1にリリースしたニューシングル 'Song About A Car'を公開！

Preenは Evie Tarr, Robin Finetto, David Lawtonの3人組。パンデミック直前に結成したばかりで、曲そのものも良さで徐々に注目を集めてる真っ最中のバンドです。というか、おそらくこの曲がそのきっかけになると思います。

3声のハーモニーがグラデーションのように変わっていくので、軸となる歌は常にあるのにその役割を担う声のバリエーションが豊かで、しかも歌い上げずに進むからラストのエモーショナルな展開がより活きてくる。曲のテーマもユニークでいいよね。これからも定期的にチェックしておきたい存在です。

The song tells the story of a car crash in slow motion, from the perspective of the passenger, gradually building towards a dramatic climax. Written during lockdown, it encapsulates the tension of waiting for something that may never come – an ending.
