カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス拠点のインディーロックアーティスト Pigeon Clubが、1/5にB&F Loftからリリースしたニューシングル 'Liar'のMVを公開！
ディレクターは Jonathan Latona。
Pigeon Clubはマルチインストゥルメンタリスト・ミュージシャン・ソングライター Wayne Whittakerによるソロプロジェクト。Dawes, Diane Coffee, Haertsなど数多くのアーティストと仕事をしてきた人で、この名義は2021年から始めてます。
'Liar'は今春発売予定のニューアルバム『Another Year In The Minors』収録曲。
70'sらしさのある瑞々しいパワーポップでメロディーが最高だし、Magana, Amy Aileen Wood (Fiona Apple, The Donnies The Amys)らが出演するMVも素敵。
“This was a really hard song to write,” “structurally, it came together very quickly. But once I read it back, it became clear that this was going to be a particularly exposing three minutes. Thankfully, the touched upon themes are unmistakably human, so at the very least I’ve confirmed that I am indeed only human.”
この曲を書くのは本当に大変だった。でも、いったん読み返すと、この曲が特に暴露的な3分間になりそうだということがはっきりわかった。ありがたいことに、触れているテーマはまぎれもなく人間的なもので、少なくとも私は本当にただの人間なのだと確認することができた。
