Oliver Marson、'Blue Dreams'のMVを公開

イングランド/ロンドン拠点のニューウェイヴ・アーティスト Oliver Marsonが、1/31にリリースしたニューシングル 'Blue Dreams'のMVを公開！

ディレクターは Eric J Liddle。

ミックスは Jorge Elbrecht (Japanese Breakfast, Hatchie)。

前回のシングル 'Andalusian Girl'のときに気づかなかったのは、Scott Walkerのクルーナーのようでもあるし、Connan Mockasinのサイケにまみれた美メロのようでもあるところですね。

“I wrote this one whilst staring at a canister of Blue Dreams on my coffee table after work. The song ended up being a dark fantasy about burning down my office job for the insurance money (a bit like in office space). At the end I blurt out the words "Why did I choose this?", which is kind of a desperate call out for some kind of change. I think a lot of people end up feeling like this in their jobs, relationships and life choices, especially at the moment.” - Oliver Marson

この曲は、仕事が終わった後、コーヒーテーブルの上に置かれたBlue Dreamsの缶を見つめながら書きました。この曲は結局、保険金目当てに会社の仕事を焼き払うというダークファンタジーになった（『office space』みたいな感じ）。最後に「なんでこんなの選んじゃったんだろう」とぼやくのは、何か変化を求めての必死の呼びかけのようなものです。仕事、人間関係、人生の選択において、特に今、多くの人がこのような気持ちで終わっていると思います。 - Oliver Marson
