アイダホ州ボイシ拠点のシンガーソングライター Nick Delffsが、7/26にMama Bird Recording Co.からリリースするニューアルバム『Transitional Phase』より、先行シングル 'Without Touching'を公開！
プロデュースは Eli Moore (LAKE, Karl Blau)、エンジニアは Ryan Oxford (Jefferey Silverstein, Y La Bamba, Rose City Band)。
演奏に Joe Plummer (Modest Mouse, The Shins), Perry Pfister (Wooden Indian Burial Ground, Old Unconscious), Luke Wyland (Au, Methods Body), Ali Clarysが参加。
素敵なメンツの演奏で、いつも以上にグッドメロディーが映えてる気がする。この曲を聴き終えたときにまさか5分以上経ってるとは思わなかったくらい演奏が気持ちいい。
“There are introverted and extroverted tendencies within me. Too much outward vulnerability can leave me empty and low. In this song the character is harnessing their need to go inward; a seemingly selfish desire but a necessity in order to give again. The message is to sit with the low emotions and to let the high come naturally, not forcing it with something artificial. Stability and comfortability may not be the goal but rather processing deep feelings and growth is the pursuit.”
