Nick Delffsは00年代のポートランドを中心に活躍したインディーロックバンド The Shaky Handsのメンバー。
アルバムのプロデュースは、K Recordsからのリリースで知られるバンド Lakeの Eli Mooreが務めてますし、参加ミュージシャン(以下参照)もさすがの面々で期待大です。

“I was building a staircase one morning for a friend and he used the phrase “you do you”. The whole day it stuck with me and eventually gave birth to the first line in “Power and Position”, a song about the contemplation of power struggles while in pursuit of collaboration and harmony. It’s my way of grappling with the cosmic dissonance and the comedy of failure and stubbornness. It felt right to me to put this all in the context of a dance song with a powerful groove. I loved the idea of people dancing to this song that holds the strong subtext of, “we all have some greed we need to understand and work through.”
