イングランド/ハートルプール拠点のインディーポップバンド Mt. Miseryが、9/6にPrefect Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Waking Up'のMVを公開！
Mt. Miseryはマルチインストゥルメンタリスト Andrew Smithによるソロプロジェクトとして始まり、2019年からバンド編成に変わり、2021年にデビューアルバム『Once Home, No Longer』を発表。
これまでに Gruff Rhys, The Futureheads, Porridge Radio, Pip Blomなどのサポートを務めてます。
Owen Williams (Joanna Gruesome, Ex-Vöid), Mark Dobson (The Field Mice, Northern Picture Library, Picture Center)が設立したグッドレーベルの良いバンドです。
Teenage Fanclub, Fountains of Wayne, The Lemonheadsが好きな人におすすめ。
“Waking Up existed in very rough demo form for some time, but it was always an idea I couldn’t finish (of which there are many). I picked it up again when we were writing the album, but the full writing process took upwards of a year, with the result being a little two-and-a-half minute pop song… which upon reflection, feels a bit pathetic.” - Stephen
