イングランド出身で、現在はイタリア/ローマ拠点のマルチインストゥルメンタリスト George Appletonによるソロプロジェクト Moon Blueが、7/11にFactory Flawsからリリースしたニューシングル 'One Day at a Time'を公開！
最初のサーッていうノイズからフィルインまでの時点で好きなのが分かるサイケデリック・ディスコ。
デビューEPのタイトルが『The Moonlight Disco』だったくらいなんでこっち路線は得意でしょうね。新曲が出る度にワクワクさせてくれる存在です。
“Written about becoming a better version of myself to be the person my loved ones deserve of me. Less partying, less apathy, more presence and more focused on health, diet, exercise, and joy. This was my first time using the Juno synth, and I wanted to create something that felt like a Lynchian Disco; as if a discoteca was directed by the Twin Peaks era Lynch. I really tried to make music to dance to with this one, and think this paves the way for a new direction moving forward.”
これは、大切な人たちにふさわしいより良い自分になるために書いた曲です。パーティーを減らし、無関心さを減らし、もっと今ここにいることに集中する。そして健康、食事、運動、そして喜びにフォーカスするようにしました。この曲では初めてJunoシンセを使って、リンチ的なディスコ─つまり、ツイン・ピークス時代のデヴィッド・リンチがディスコを演出したらどうなるか、というイメージで制作しました。本当に踊れる音楽を作りたくて取り組んだ一曲であり、これがこれからの新たな方向性への道を切り開くものになったと思っています。
