ドイツ/ベルリン拠点のオルタナティヴロックバンド Meagre Martinが、2/14にMansions and MillionsからリリースしたEP『Up To Snuff』より、'Comfort Food'を公開！
印象的なベースライン、疾走感のあるドラム、ギターとシンセの組み合わせが素晴らしい一曲。シンプルなスリーコードかと思いきやひねりを加える辺りも好き。
“As green leaves disappear, local spots go out of business, and new people enter your life, change feels hard. But, change is inevitable, sometimes even good, and this song works through that struggle. It’s an ode to familiarity, an homage to consistency, and a salute to comfort food.”
緑の葉が散り、馴染みの店が次々と閉店し、新しい人々が生活に入り込んでくる——変化というものは時に受け入れがたいものだ。でも、変化は避けられないし、時には良いものでもある。この曲は、その葛藤を乗り越えようとするものなんだ。それは“慣れ親しんだもの”への賛歌であり、“変わらないもの”への敬意であり、そして“心を満たす食べ物”へのオマージュでもある。
