イングランド/ニューカッスル拠点のオルタナティヴポップアーティスト Lizzie Esauが、7/4にリリースしたニューシングル 'Day In The Life'のMVを公開！

ディレクターは Sel Mclean。

著名なプログレバンドのメンバーを父に持ち、これまでに Baby Queen, The Amazons, Upsahl, Swim Schoolなどのサポートを務めてきた注目アーティスト。

“"Day in the Life" is about living in a constant cycle - moving through the motions of the everyday, stuck in a 2D existence. It’s about feeling like there’s never enough time, and simply existing consumes everything. The weight of routine makes it hard to be a good sister, daughter, friend, partner, artist etc. Life feels overwhelming, reflected in the repeated question in the choruses, “Is that good enough?”, which captures the helplessness of being stretched too thin and the quiet, nagging fear that no matter how much you do, it will never be enough.”

'Day In The Life'は、終わりのないサイクルの中で生きていること──日々の繰り返しに流されて、まるで2Dの世界に閉じ込められているような感覚について描かれた曲です。時間が決して足りないと感じながら、ただ“存在する”だけで全てが消耗されていくような感覚。日々のルーティンの重みによって、良い姉、娘、友人、パートナー、アーティストであることが難しくなっていきます。人生が圧倒的に感じられる中、サビで繰り返される「Is that good enough?」という問いには、手一杯になってもなお報われないような無力感と、どれだけ頑張っても満たされないという静かで根深い不安が込められています。
