ノースカロライナ州アシュビル拠点のギタリスト・ソングライター・プロデューサー Kayla Zuskinによるソロプロジェクト Lavender Blueが、2/14にリリースしたニューシングル 'Scarlet Blood'を公開！
3/3発売のニューアルバム『The In Between』収録曲で、共同プロデュースは Landon George。
Alex Gや Ricky Eat Acidがいた10年前の Orchid Tapesを思い起こさせるような音像とメロディーが魅力的です。
“Scarlet Blood is inspired by a poem that I wrote after a nasty fall on my roller-skates. I came across the poem a month or so later and was thinking about the circular track I had initially wiped out on and how it mirrors the idea that people and their actions tend to be cyclical and patterned.”
'Scarlet Blood'は、ローラースケートで激しく転んだ後に書いた詩からインスピレーションを得ています。約1か月後にその詩を見返したとき、最初に転んだ円形のトラックのことを思い出しました。それが、人々やその行動が周期的でパターン化されやすいという考えと重なっていることに気づいたのです。
