イタリア/ローマ出身のインディーポップ・アーティスト Kuniが、3/29にFactory Flawsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Showu'を公開！
Kuniはシンガーソングライター Eleonora Daneseによるソロプロジェクト。
子供の頃から日本文化に夢中で、Kuniという名前は格闘ゲーム 鉄拳シリーズに登場する州光(くにみつ)に由来し、韓国語と日本語を専門に東アジアの言語と文化の学士号を取得している筋金入りの人です。
今回の新曲は年内発売予定のEP収録曲で、プロデュースは Giacomo Greco (Inude)。
“I wrote this song last summer. I took two weeks of the usual August vacation to focus on some things I had been holding on to for too long. I realized I needed to be clearer with my intentions and words. So between pages, I wrote this note, “Showu” (short for Show You). I worked with Giacomo Greco to make it as simple as possible because I wanted to focus on what the song says. I had had enough of hiding behind the woulds and coulds. For a long time, I felt people in my life wanted something from me, but only to a certain extent, and I didn’t have the courage to tell them off. Maybe I have been going along with that because I was scared of facing my fears alone – better with them than by myself. I am not sure I would say the same today. Something clicked when I understood I wanted to let go of everything that wasn’t making me feel worthy. So many people out there seem to make their living by taking others down. They seem to need to make you feel small and unessential, while they also can’t leave you. This condition is wearing and can leave deep wounds. And even if change doesn’t happen in a day, it is important to start getting rid of what is wrong for us and taking care of ourselves. It might all begin with a (not so) simple “goodbye”.”
