イングランド/ニューカッスル拠点のインディーロックバンド Kitesが、3/8にTrewhitt Road Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Innocence & Gold'を公開！
Kitesは Kane Teal, Harry Wade, Lewis McDonald, Bailey Ruddの4人組。
2019年に結成し地元を中心に活動を行っており、これまでに JAWS, The Nativeのサポートを務めてます。
'Innocence & Gold'のレコーディングは Chris McManus、ミックスは Gethin Pearson、マスタリングは Steven Kerryが担当。
シンバルをバッシバシ叩くドラムの存在感によるものなのか、ギターがラウドってわけでもないのにやけにグランジっぽさがある曲。バランスが面白い。
前回のシングルでは地元のホームレス問題を取り上げ、楽曲からの収益はすべて関連の慈善団体に寄付することを明言していて、地域コミュニティとの繋がりを感じさせるバンドですね。
