イングランド/ロンドン拠点のインディーロックアーティスト Jujuが、8/15にリリースしたニューシングル 'Swings and Roundabouts'を公開！
Niko Battistini (Charli XCX, Caroline Polacheck, MARINA)プロデュースで、昨年にデビューEP『I've Got A Lot To Say』を発表したニューカマー。
“When I wrote this track I was going through a difficult time due to circumstances in my personal life, but I kept trying to remind myself that it's not always going to be this hard or feel this bad, you just have to brace yourself and go through it to come out the other side. The phrase "it's all swings and roundabouts" came to mind, and although it could be seen as more disparaging than inspiring in the depths of mental distress, its sentiment and slightly tongue-in-cheek humour inspired me to write a song around it.”
この曲を書いたとき、私は私生活の事情で辛い時期を過ごしていた。でも、いつもこんなに辛かったり、嫌な気分になったりするわけではないのだから、自分を奮い立たせて、それを乗り越えて、反対側に出ればいいのだと、自分に言い聞かせようとし続けていた。"it's all swings and roundabouts"というフレーズが頭に浮かんだ。精神的苦痛のどん底にいるときには、勇気づけられるというより、軽蔑的に捉えられるかもしれないが、その感情と少し皮肉めいたユーモアに触発されて、このフレーズをテーマに曲を書いた。
