SSW・Joakim Daal、デビュー曲 'Shelter'を公開

ニューヨーク出身で現在はヘルシンキを拠点に活動するシンガーソングライター Joakim Daalが、10/6にAll That Plazzからリリースしたデビューシングル 'Shelter'を公開！

Arthur RussellやWhitest Boy Aliveに通じる美しいポップス。

参加メンバーは Eero Jääskeläinen, Jarno Takkumäki, Walter Dewald, Jussi Hurskainen。ミックスは Jarno Takkumäki (Lac Belot)、マスタリングは Greg Calbi & Steve Fallone (Taylor Swift, Bon Iver, Big Thief)が務めてます。

幼い頃からジャズやクラシック音楽を学び、大学進学のためにモントリオールへ移住してから活動を始めたそうで、その時期に超重要ベニュー Lab Synthèseを中心としたDIYコミュニティと接続していた背景がかなり興味深いです。今後の動向が気になるニューカマー。
