オーストラリア/メルボルン拠点のギタリスト Jacob Coleが、8/30にリリースしたニューシングル 'The Cave'を公開！
参加ミュージシャンは Louis Gill, Matt Dixon, Luke Collinsで、ミックス・マスタリングは Jethro Pickett。
Blake Millsのような精細かつ芳醇な響きが美しい。アメリカ音楽に対する再解釈という点で Julian Lage的だし、ケリー・ライカートの映画にみられる再構築とその質感に近いものがあって好きです。
“I'm just trying to evoke a mood or a feeling that the music I love the most gives to me. The feeling of sitting in my bedroom at fourteen hearing something magical like Roy Buchanan on cassette tape, or Gillian Welch for the first time at around twenty-one. As we get older most of those moments of transformation through music, music that can change the way you see the world, seem like they are in the past. Maybe you have to look harder the older you get. I recently commented to a friend that a Nels Cline solo, live with Wilco, was the best guitar solo I’d ever heard and in that moment it truly was. Pedal steel is probably my favourite instrument and I wanted to feature that dreamlike sound on this track. It is played beautifully here by Matt Dixon.”
