イングランド/マンチェスター拠点のインディーロックバンド Jack Hyphenが、6/28にリリースしたニューシングル 'Not Medicinal'を公開！
Jack Hyphenはソロプロジェクトとして始まり、現在は4人編成のバンド。これまでに Crystal Tides, Jeremiah Ferrari, James Walsh (Starsailor)などのサポートを務めてます。
有機的に絡み合う楽器の土台の上空をすーっと吹き抜けるメロディーが素晴らしい。
“I am going back to my Alternative Rock roots with this song, written over 5 years ago but revamped as my style has developed. The song encapsulates the feeling of vividly overthinking and I wrote this to remind myself that the illusions I create in my mind will fade away and are not a reflection of reality.”
この曲ではオルタナティヴ・ロックのルーツに立ち返ろうとしている。5年以上前に書いた曲だが、自分のスタイルが発展するにつれて刷新した。この曲には、鮮明に考えすぎてしまう気持ちが凝縮されている。心の中で作り出した幻想は消えていくもので、現実の反映ではないことを自分自身に思い出させるために書いたんだ。
