イングランド南西部、サマセット州拠点のフォークポップアーティスト Izzie Yardleyが、3/26にリリースしたニューシングル 'The Garden'を公開！
Izzie Yardleyはケント州出身のシンガーソングライター・作詞家・マルチインストゥルメンタリスト。
2020年にデビューシングルを発表。Dom Monks (Big Thief, Laura Marling, Billie Marten)プロデュースによるデビューEP『Imposter』(2023)、セカンドEP『Pull Back The Sea』(2024)で着実に評価を積み上げてきた人物です。
これまでに This Is The Kit, Jesca Hoop, Ocean Colour Sceneのオープニングアクトを務め、The Brother Brothers, Ida Maeとツアーを行なってます。
'The Garden'は7/16発売予定のデビューアルバム『Diving The Unknown』収録曲。
プロデュース・ミックスは Ethan Johnsが担当し、演奏に Nick Pini, Luke Potashnickが参加。
“This is one of my favourite tracks on the record at the moment, it makes me smile. It was really fun to write, one of those songs where the lyrics tumble out without much thought, to be deciphered at a later date.”
今のところ、このアルバムの中で一番好きな曲の一つで聴くと笑顔になれます。本当に楽しく作れた曲で、歌詞はあまり考えずに自然と湧き出てきて、後でじっくりと解釈していくような曲でした。
