イングランド/ノーフォーク拠点のインディーロックアーティスト Harry Jordanが、3/11にリリースしたデビューEP先行シングル 'Protected'を公開！
Harry Jordanはシンガーソングライター・プロデューサー・レコーディングエンジニア。
バンド Eades, King Cabのメンバーとして、Far Caspianのライブギタリストとして活動し、10年以上過ごしたリーズからノーフォークに移ってからは、スタジオ Bam Bam Studiosとレーベル Bam Bam Recordsを設立。The Big Moon, Keo, Sam Tompkins, Brown Horse, Our Girl, Bleech 9:3, Opal Magなどが制作・レコーディングに使用してます。
'Protected'は4/17発売のデビューEP『This Beautiful Life』収録曲。
最初のフィードバックからかっこよくて、それが最後まで続きます。slacker節。
King Cabの記事でも一度埋め込んだけど、彼のスタジオがまぁ素晴らしくて、自分がバンドマンだったら一度は訪れてみたい雰囲気があります。あと今回のリリースに合わせて出した以下の発言も良かった。まっすぐだね。
“In a lot of ways it’s about self-reflection and growth, and it also feels like a bit of a letter to my wife, Sophie. She had her life together pretty early on, while mine felt completely all over the place. I was away gigging all the time with Eades and Far Caspian, earning almost nothing and generally muddling my way through life. I was so obsessed with trying to make music my career that a lot of the other areas of my life often got pushed aside. As I became more aware of that, I started to feel like a bit of a burden. Even though we were madly in love, I always had this feeling that she deserved better. In a strange way, that feeling ended up becoming a huge source of motivation for me — it pushed me to find ways to turn my passion for music into something sustainable, so I could eventually build the kind of life I felt she deserved. I still strive for that every day.”
