4/19発売のニューアルバム『Bless Me』収録曲。
ミックスは Nate Amos (Water From Your Eyes, This Is Lorelei)が担当。この音いいよね。
“'Caterpillar Pilled' was the last song written for the album. It started with the bassline which is just three notes repeated for the whole song, but at varying speeds. It was partially inspired by a radio station at the end of the dial I found that plays cheerful kids songs from the 50s. I was going through an emotional rough patch and spending days wandering around the Wissahickon (in Philadelphia) on psychedelics. Somehow these two influences showed up at the same time on this song.” - Nicholas Rahn
'Caterpillar Pilled'はアルバムのために書かれた最後の曲だった。曲全体を通して3つの音が繰り返されるだけのベースラインから始まった。この曲は、50年代の陽気なキッズ・ソングを流しているラジオ局を見つけたときに、そのラジオ局からインスパイアされたんだ。私は感情の荒波にもまれ、サイケデリックでウィッサヒコン（フィラデルフィア）をさまよう日々を送っていた。どういうわけか、この2つの影響が同時にこの曲に現れたんだ。 - Nicholas Rahn
