近日リリース予定のアルバム『Magic Eater / The Undoing of a Curse』収録曲。夢とうつつを往来する心地よさがありますね。
Unknown Mortal Orchestra風のサイケで密室感のある音像と、Fleet Foxes, Father John Mistyに通じるフォーキーなメロディの組み合わせが絶妙で、これまでの経歴は分からないですがChris Cohenのような手練のミュージシャンであることは間違いないかと。引き続きチェックしていきます。
“I'm often compelled to peer into an intense vision and world that is idyllic but mysterious. There's a sobering effect after coming back to a reality that you don't necessarily agree with, but realize it's necessity and you must keep moving. I get strong visions or daydreams with smells that have never happened to me before. It's like deja-vu but more intense. Full of a burst of pure joy followed by confusion. With making music, I try to pull some of this other worldly feeling into my work.”
