ニューヨーク拠点のインディーポップデュオ dayawayが、5/17にTurn to Windからリリースしたニューシングル 'i wish'のMVを公開！
dayawayは Amber Renee, Graham Marshの2人組。シンセポップデュオ CLAVVSとして活動する彼らの別名義で、こちらはLo-Fiでドリームポップ寄りのサウンドを展開してます。
'i wish'は8/30発売のEP『blue summer moon』収録曲。
“'i wish' is about being down bad for someone you can’t have. It’s super playful, but it’s also an angry fist-shake to the sky kind of song. You’re mad at yourself and you’re mad at the person you’ve fallen for and you’re mad at the circumstances. Most of the time, you can’t control who you love or when, so this song tackles the frustration of that experience.”
'i wish'は、手に入れることのできない誰かのために落ち込んでいることを歌っています。とても遊び心のある曲だけど、空に向かって拳を振るような怒りの曲でもあります。自分に腹が立ち、好きになった人に腹が立ち、状況にも腹が立つ。大抵の場合、誰をいつ好きになるかはコントロールできないから、この曲はその経験によるフラストレーションに取り組んでいます。
