イングランド/ロンドン拠点のデュオ Dahlia Sleepsが、9/7にリリースしたニューシングル 'Too Good To Hide'を公開！
Dahlia Sleepsはプロデューサー Luke Hesterとシンガー Lucy Hillの2人組。
'Too Good To Hide'は2部構成(第1弾は10/19、第2弾は来年初頭)でリリースするデビューアルバム『Overflow』収録曲。制作には Jacob Oak Welsh (The Hics), Mat Roberts, Edward Crossが参加してます。
過去に発表したEP(『After It All』がおすすめ)で注目を集めたバンドで、意外と今回が初めてのアルバムなんですね。曲のエモーショナルな部分を声よりも音に委ねてる節があって、その色味に包まれたアトモスフェリックなポップスを作るのが巧い人たち、というイメージです。
“Too Good To Hide is a song about running towards turmoil instead of towards the light. So often it is a battle to build the life we want because trauma or mental health issues keep us where we are. This is the first song on the record that touches on mental health, a theme that features heavily in forthcoming songs. And as with all these songs, this one ends with hope, something that exists for all of us as we learn to love ourselves and overcome our pasts.” - Lucy Hill
