Cloud House、'Don't Wanna Talk'を公開

スコットランド/グラスゴー拠点のインディーロックバンド Cloud Houseが、9/20にリリースしたニューシングル 'Don't Wanna Talk'を公開！

Cloud Houseは Conor McCarry, Patrick Wallace, Jack Hughes, Calum Wray, Morgan Cardwellの5人組。

'Don't Wanna Talk'は11/1発売のEP『Still Here』収録曲。

この夏にサックス・鍵盤・ギターを担当するメンバーが加入してから一気に華やかさが増した印象で、数年後にアリーナを埋めてる景色は容易に想像できる可能性を秘めてます。

“This song is inspired by a journey I used to take as a young boy,” “My mum was ill throughout my childhood and I cared for her since I was old enough to remember. I always felt like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders as it was just Mum and I on our own. I used to put on a brave face for her but deep down it was a struggle for me. I wanted to be a kid. I wanted her to get better. I used to get the bus home and go past my stop as I didn’t want to go home quite just yet. I would go through phases of being okay and just getting on with it.” - Conor McCarry

この曲は、私が幼い頃に旅をしていたことにインスパイアされているんだ。私は物心ついたときから母の世話をしていたんだ。母と私だけだったから、いつも世界の重荷を背負っているような気がしていた。母のために平気な顔をしていたけれど、心の底では苦しかった。子供でいたかった。母に元気になってほしかった。まだ家に帰りたくなかったから、よく帰りのバスに乗っては停留所を通り過ぎた。大丈夫だと思いながら、その場をやり過ごすこともあった。 - Conor McCarry
