イングランド/バーミンガム出身のベッドルームポップアーティスト Charlie Bennettが、6/14にYoung Poetからリリースしたニューシングル 'Bedbugs'を公開！
9/6発売のEP『Sweetie』収録曲で、共同作曲・プロデュースは Jack Hardman (Luke Sital Singh, Lexie Carrol, Sunflower Thieves)。
コロナのロックダウン期間中に作曲を始め、YouTubeやTikTokにカバーを投稿し、規制が緩和されてからは路上ライブを行うなどして堅実なファンを獲得。昨年7月の Will Joseph CookのUKツアーに全日サポートで出演してます。

“This song is heavily inspired by going on my first ever tour last year, and my admiration of artists like beabadoobee and Oscar Lang, who started out as primarily acoustic artists, and have since developed a ‘full band’ sound” “I really wanted to focus on writing a song that would translate perfectly into a live setting, with roaring guitars, pounding drums, and a jumpy bass line, and I think Jack and I have done exactly that.” “This song is about my self-talk in friendships and relationships, and how I struggle to open up about how I’m feeling – how I struggle to talk about the “bedbugs in my brain”, and how I wonder how I am getting better at being honest with people.”
