イングランド/ロンドン拠点で、以前は King Charlesとして知られていたオルタナティヴポップアーティスト Charles Costaが、1/24にBuffalo Gangからリリースしたニューアルバム『Charles Costa』より、'When The War Was Starting'を公開！
名義を変えてから初となるアルバム。ここに向けて様々なシングルを聴いてきたのですごく楽しみにしてて内容も良かったです。

“This is an album of new songs exploring the distance between life's longings and laments. Always looking for a way to 'complete' life - find truth or meaning or purpose - leading me down paths of discovery and revelation. Sometimes ending up at dead ends, sometimes to new openings and avenues. These journeys seem to be a bouncing between the boundaries of longings and laments and that is what is behind most of this album.”
これは、人生の憧れと嘆きの間の距離を探求する新曲のアルバムだ。常に人生を「完成」させる方法を探し求め、真実や意味や目的を見つけ、私を発見と啓示の道へと導く。時には行き止まりに行き着き、時には新たな入り口や道へと導いてくれる。これらの旅は、憧れと嘆きの境界を行き来しているようで、それがこのアルバムのほとんどの背景にある。
