ジョージア州アセンズ拠点のインディーロックバンド Casual Americansが、3/22にMagic Foxからリリースしたデビューアルバム『Casual Americans』より、'Cowards'を公開！
Casual Americansはシンガーソングライター・マルチインストゥルメンタリスト Justin Reynoldsを中心に結成したバンドで、Chris Matthis, Kyle Deloach, Daniel Ard, Ben Butlerを含む5人組。
ミックスは Darrell Thorp (Beck, Foo Fighters)、マスタリングは David Ives (Kacey Musgraves, Mac DeMarco)が担当。
90年代後半から00年代初めの空気感があって、例えば Spoon, The Shinsが好きな人におすすめです。
“"Cowards" is broadly about the corrosive nature of power and influence and how that breeds apathy and self-preservation. While it was written more specifically about politicians and corporations, I was surprised and quite shocked by how much of myself I saw in the lyrics. Maybe it's a reminder to myself to be less self-centered. Maybe it's a warning about what those impulses can lead to.”
