ニューヨーク拠点のベッドルームポップアーティスト Cape Francisが、1/23にSleep Well Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Catapult'を公開！
Cape Francisは、コンポーザー・ギタリスト・ボーカリスト Kevin Olken Henthornによるソロプロジェクト。
『マザー/アンドロイド』『ターミネーター0』などの作曲を手掛ける一方で、親密な雰囲気のベッドルームポップを2010年代後半から発表している人物です。
Tascam Portastudio 414の揺れるノイズが気持ちいい一曲。2022年発表の『Don't Let Your Heart Walk Away』では、同じ質感でチェンバーポップ的な表現を取り入れた曲なんかもあったりするので合わせて要チェックです。
プロデュース・ミックス・マスタリングは Ariel Loh。
“I wrote this song on the precipice of fatherhood. It’s about coming to terms with the fact that the dreams of your younger self don’t align with your current self anymore, and that’s ok. I think it’s probably a clear sign that you’re growing as a person, even though society loves to cast it as the ultimate failure. So while this song is about me giving up on my dreams, it’s not to say there aren’t new dreams forming, and frankly I’m just a lot more interested in those at the moment.”
