カナダ/バンクーバー・トロント拠点の Stacy Kim, Kaelan Geoffreyによるオルタナティヴポップデュオ Bestfriendが、2/14にNettwerkからリリースしたニューシングル 'HEADSTART'のMVを公開！
制作は JustBeingKyle。
5/9発売予定のEP『BESTFRIEND HAS AN IDENTITY CRISIS』収録曲で、共同作曲に Aidan Hogg (Jaguar Jonze, G-Flip, Sofia Isella)が参加。
ポップパンクのような疾走感が気持ちいい一曲。夏っぽいかも。
“’HEADSTART’ is definitely almost more of a pitch of what we’d hope we’d do in a situation like this when in reality such vulnerability is like, the hardest thing in the entire world to do. I’m supposed to actively tell someone I’m into them? What if they respond with literally any response of the entire set of possible responses? What then?? Vulnerability is probably one of those lifelong things you work on and never quite nail.”
'HEADSTART'は、実際にはとても難しいことだけれど、こういう状況で自分たちができたらいいなと思う理想の姿に近いものなんだ。こんなにも無防備になるのは、現実では世界で一番難しいことのひとつだからね。好きな人に自分の気持ちをちゃんと伝えなきゃいけない？でももし、無限にある返答のうちのどれかが返ってきたらどうする？どうしたらいいんだ？脆さを受け入れることって、一生かけて取り組むもので、完璧にできる日はこないのかもしれない。
